Anti-Zionism's Acceptability

Anti-semitism has been a feature of humanity ever since the Mount Sinai Event. Our Sages taught that the Torah was given on a mountain called Sinai because of the deep sinah, hatred, that emanated from that moment. In the TaNaKh, there are two recorded incidents of attempted genocide: Pharaoh and Haman's Final Solutions. The Talmud declares firmly that Esau soneh et Yaakov, Esau hates Jacob.

60 years after the Holocaust which destroyed two-thirds of European Jewry, anti-semitism is only an alarming rise. It is frightening not only in its exponential increase but in its acceptablitily in polite society and its blatent nature. When a white supremacist rants about "big-nosed Jews" controlling Wall Street at the annual neo-Nazi conference, one hardly raises an eyebrow. White supremacists exist on the extreme fringes of society and their ideas are summarily dismissed. When a slick-sounding, highly articulate left-wing intellectual gives a lecture about "Israeli apartheid" and condemns Zionism, Jews and non-Jews everywhere should be alarmed. These notions of Zionism being racist or of Jews intentionally killing Arab children, are slowly creeping into polite society. At dinner parties and uniivsity campuses all over the country, anti-semitic incidents are commonplace and it is not hard to hear condemnation of Israel, while students cheer on Islamofascism. When "Israeli Apartheid" week came to Canadian campuses a few weeks ago, comments like "death to big nose Israel" were proclaimed loudly, without fear of rebuke or stigma. Of course, why should anybody be ostracized for such views when the leader of a country who called for Israel to wiped off the map and who is developping nuclear technology to do so, gets invited to speak at a major American university? Sadly, anti-semitism has been the norm in many cases.

Anti-semitism has proven to be a most resilient virus which finds new forms in every age. While in the past Jew-haters opposed Jewish morality, or the Church preached the humilation and death of the "C-killers", modern day anti-semitism exists in the latest form of anti-Zionism: the delegitimization, demonization and application of double standards to the Jewish State, Israel. One need not look to far to find such examples. If it were not for public outcry, UN Human Rights High Commissioner, Louise Arbour, would have signed a pan-Arab human rights declaration equating Zionism, the Jews' natural and G-dgiven right and desire for a homeland, with racism.

"The cancerous growth Israel will soon disappear," Iran's Revolutionary Guards Corps commander Muhammad Ali Jafari wrote to Hizbullah leader Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah, the FARS news agency reported Monday. In response to the assassination of Hizbullah terror chief Imad Mughniyeh, Hizbullah vowed to attack Israeli and Jewish targets in the Diaspora. This is not the first time that Hizbullah has made its genocidal intentions known. Hassan Nasrallah has said: "The Jews are a cancer which is liable to spread again at any moment," and that “if they [the Jews] all gather in Israel, it will save us the trouble of going after them worldwide.” Nor is this pushing for the Final Solution to the Zionist Problem unique to Hizbullah. The Hamas charter quotes an Islamic hadith whcih affirms that "the prophet, prayer and peace be upon him, said: The time [of judgment] will not come until Muslims will fight the Jews and kill them; until the Jews hide behind rocks and trees, which will cry: O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, come on and kill him!" (Sahih Muslim book 41, no. 6985). Its charter say that “Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it”. In light of these statements, where is the community of nations? Where are the loud cries of "Never Again"? Instead of denouncing these Islamofascist neo-Nazis, the world demands that Israel give up Jerusalem, its eternal capital, and continues to call arch-terrorist Abbas a "moderate".

Its seems that the world would prefer, rather than fighting the growing wave of anti-semitism, to write a big check for a museum and memorial for the planned Islamic Holocaust (G-d forbid). Islamic anti-semitism and hate-mongering must be condemned at every opportuniy and given no platform to speak. Anti-Zionism legitimizes the murder of Jews by painting Israel as a colonialist entity, entailing Arabs to resist such occupation. It is the pathway to the ovens, to the gas chambers. Hopefully, the world will wake up before it is too late and save itself the trouble of building a new Yad VaShem.

Great post. It always galls me to see morons bending over backwards to placate the Islamists who are VERY open about their hateful agenda, but attack Jews for next to nothing, and for self defense of all things!

Deborah said...

1 Then David spoke to the LORD the words of this song, on the day when the LORD had delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul. 2 And he said: “The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; 3 The God of my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge; my Savior, You save me from violence. 4 I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies. 5 When the waves of death surrounded me, the floods of ungodliness made me afraid. 6 The sorrows of Sheol surrounded me; the snares of death confronted me. 7 In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, and my cry entered His ears." (2 Samuel 22:1-7)

1 Save me, O God! For the waters have come up to my neck. 2 I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing; I have come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me. 3 I am weary with my crying; my throat is dry; my eyes fail while I wait for my God. 4 Those who hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head; they are mighty who would destroy me, being my enemies wrongfully; though I have stolen nothing, I still must restore it. (Psalm 69:1-4)

2...“I cried out to the LORD because of my affliction, and He answered me. Out of the belly of Sheol I cried, and you heard my voice. 3 For You cast me into the deep, into the heart of the seas, and the floods surrounded me; all Your billows and Your waves passed over me. 4 Then I said, ‘I have been cast out of Your sight; yet I will look again toward Your holy temple.’ 5 The waters surrounded me, even to my soul; the deep closed around me; weeds were wrapped around my head. 6 I went down to the moorings of the mountains; The earth with its bars closed behind me forever; yet You have brought up my life from the pit, O LORD, my God. 7 When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the LORD; and my prayer went up to You, into Your holy temple. 8 Those who regard worthless idols forsake their own Mercy. 9 But I will sacrifice to You with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay what I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD.”
10 So the LORD spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land. (Jonah 2:2b-10)

7 "Now, will not God bring about justice for His elect who cry to Him day and night, and will He delay long over them? 8 I tell you that He will bring about justice for them quickly..." - Yeshua, Luke 18:7-8a.

1 Surely God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart! (Psalm 73:1)

12 Behold, these are the ungodly, who are always at ease; they increase in riches. 13 Surely I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocence. 14 For all day long I have been plagued, and chastened every morning. 15 If I had said, “I will speak thus," Behold, I would have been untrue to the generation of Your children. 16 When I thought how to understand this, it was too painful for me — 17 until I went into the sanctuary of God; then I understood their end. 18 Surely You set them in slippery places; You cast them down to destruction.
19 Oh, how they are brought to desolation, as in a moment! They are utterly consumed with terrors. 20 As a dream when one awakes, so, Lord, when You awake, You shall despise their image. 21 Thus my heart was grieved, and I was vexed in my mind. 22 I was so foolish and ignorant; I was like a beast before You. 23 Nevertheless I am continually with You; You hold me by my right hand. 24 You will guide me with Your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. 25 Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You. 26 My flesh and my heart fail; but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. 27 For indeed, those who are far from You shall perish; You have destroyed all those who desert You for harlotry. (Psalm 73:12-27)

God is just... righteousness and justice belong to Him! Anti-Semites who have required Jewish blood will not escape God's punishment, nor will the righteous be left without vindication - "35 Vengeance is mine, and recompense, for the time when their foot shall slip; for the day of their calamity is at hand, and their doom comes swiftly." (Deuteronomy 32:35)

We pigs and monkeys need to hang together, otherwise we'll hang separately:

Muslim school 'that taught pupils from race hate textbooks made photocopies after order to shred them'

A prestigious Islamic school in London was forced to shred 2,000 textbooks used to poison pupils' minds with lessons of hate, a former teacher claimed yesterday.

Colin Cook, who taught English at the King Fahad Academy for 18 years, told a tribunal how "incompetent" Ofsted inspectors reported that the school's teaching of Islamic studies was "mostly good".

But their report was wildly inaccurate, he said, because pupils as young as five were being taught by rote from Arabic textbooks describing Jews as "monkeys" and Christians as "pigs".

Colin Cook outside the Saudi school which sacked him for misconduct

Mr Cook said that when he exposed the racist teaching, the school's head Dr Sumaya Alyusuf lied on television, insisting that hateful passages had never been taught.

Under public pressure the Academy eventually agreed to destroy 2,000 books but photocopied them first for future use, he told the tribunal.

The school, in Acton, West London, opened in 1985 for the children of Saudi diplomats and is funded and controlled by the Saudi government.

Its 1,250 pupils have included the five children of jailed claw-handed cleric Abu Hamza and those of Abu Qatada, who was said to be Osama Bin Laden's right-hand man in Europe.

Mr Cook, 58, said that when he queried how the preachers could be paying school fees when they were said to be on state benefits, he was told to mind his own business.

Giving evidence to the hearing in Watford, Mr Cook claimed the school was seen as an extension of the Saudi Embassy rather than part of the UK, with Saudi teachers even enjoying diplomatic immunity.

He said some pupils made "inappropriate" remarks about killing Americans and praised the 9/11 attacks.

"When I heard such nonsense I challenged and tried to reason it through with the pupils," he added.

The King Fahad Academy in West London was attended by the five children of infamous Muslim cleric Abu Hamza among others
He said that misbehaviour by Saudi pupils was sometimes overlooked.

A school trip to Arsenal Football Club's museum in December 2005 ended in chaos when some King Fahad pupils chanted "Saudi, Saudi, Saudi" and fought with non-Saudi pupils, Mr Cook told the hearing.

"Apparently we were the first school ever to be thrown out of the museum, which was humiliating. None of the Saudi pupils was challenged over their behaviour by management."

Mr Cook, of Feltham, South London, is claiming unfair dismissal, race discrimination and victimisation, which the school denies.

He was earning £35,000 a year and is seeking £135,000 in compensation for lost earnings, injury to feelings and aggravated damages.

The school has vigorously denied encouraging any form of racial hatred. It insists that the offending passages in the books were "misinterpreted".

After Mr Cook's allegations in February last year, Dr Alyusuf went on BBC2's Newsnight and told presenter Jeremy Paxman that she was aware of the books but refused to withdraw them because they had "good chapters that can be used by the teachers".

Mr Cook told the hearing: "Dr Alyusuf simply lied about her knowledge of the contents of the books and tried to pretend that the books were not taught in the school. She failed to repudiate the racist views expressed in the books.

"The truth is she cannot go against the Saudi ministry of education. She is their puppet."

Mr Cook said the Ofsted inspection in March 2006 failed to identify major issues including parental complaints, unqualified teachers and indiscipline.

He added: "The Ofsted report was very inadequate. This is partly due to what the Academy did not tell the inspectors and partly due to, at best, incompetence by Ofsted."

He says he was sacked on trumpedup grounds in 2006 after he blew the whistle on the school for covering up cheating by pupils in a GCSE exam.

"In any normal workplace, an employee would not be sacked for whistle-blowing or indeed treated as a second-class citizen for not being Saudi Arabian," he said.

"However, as the head of human resources put it, 'This is not England. It is Saudi Arabia'."

He said he had to teach 28 lessons a week when Saudi colleagues had between three and 12. He said that when he realised the school was not going to carry out a proper inquiry into the alleged GCSE cheating, he took his complaints to exam board Edexcel.

The school claimed Mr Cook failed to observe proper procedure and fired him for gross misconduct.

The hearing continues.

Israel hasn't got many friends, I'm afraid. If you run Israeli or Israel on Google you get a lot of motor mouthed jerks whining about the downtrodden "Palestinians." However, as long as Israel stays strong and can hold together despite differences of opinion, Israelis should be ok. Israel can get along without the worlds love, as long as it has the worlds respect for its military prowness.
