Separating the Holy from the Impure

(This graphic is reprinted with the permission of Yehuda HaKohen. This is a hechsher for kosher sites. Should anybody wish to reuse it, e-mail Yehuda and ask for his permission. Otherwise, it is stealing.)

We are commanded in the Torah to make separations between the holy and the impure. "For I am the LORD your God; sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy; for I am holy... to make a difference between the unclean and the clean." (VaYikra 11:44,47) Purity and impurity cannot coexist. One cannot have a piece of bacon at a shabbat table. In the same way, mixing Judaism with idolatry does not make it kosher. In fact, it makes it all the more repugnant, detestable and loathsome.

Being a Torah-oriented site, I strive for kashrut and kedusha in all of my writing. Unfortunately, this site is often hijacked by avodah zara, idolatry, evil and impurity. That being said, all For Zion's Sake readers must conform to some new rules:

1) I don't care how much you love Israel or support the Jewish people. It doesn't matter if you drop Yiddish phrases, eat bagels and lox or "Judaize" your faith. There is no Yeshua, nor is there a Brit Chadasha. I doubt that any of you were taught in Sunday school about the Rav Shaul or his 12 talmidim. These are simply attempts to kasher up treif and to mislead gullible Jews. You can wrap it in a tallis, immerse it in a mikveh and get an OU stamp on it but if it believes in JC as Lord and Saviour, it ain't kosher.

2) There is to be no mention of foreign gods, especially the name of Yeishu HaNotzri, yimach shemo. I have no need for your pagan saviour-gods, or for men deified by votes during the early centuries CE.

3) No missionary texts are to be quoted. It is pointless to quote the Christian Bible to me or to any Jew as we do not hold it as authoritative. You might as well quote Harry Potter, an equally good (I think better) work of fiction.

4) Anybody, Jew or non-Jew is free to comment and discuss, but should any attempt be made to missionize or to share avodah zara (idolatry), the result will be automatic suspension or being banned from my site.

5) If you claim to support the Jewish people, then that must extend to respect for the Jewish faith and belief. I will not tolerate any accusations of following "the laws of men" and no slander of the rabbis will be permitted. (A favourite is calling them "a brood of vipers.") I don't need your faith to be "saved". I have the Torah and you cannot take that away from me.

6) Messianic "Jews" need not apply.

This is not out of anger or hatred. It is merely a request for common courtesy. I simply want respect of my religion on this blog. Many non-Jews comment here and have been nothing but respectful. I do not want them to leave. Feel free to ask any questions that you want as long as there is no intent to missionize.

"Therefore we put our hope in You, HaShem our G-d, to soon see the glory of Your strength, to remove all idols from the Earth, and to completely cut off all false gods; to perfect the world in the kingdom of the Almighty. And for all living flesh to call Your name, and for all the wicked of the Earth to turn to You. May all the world's inhabitants recognize and know that to You every knee must bend and every tongue must swear loyalty. Before You, HaShem, our G-d, may all bow down, and give honor to Your precious name, and may all take upon themselves the yoke of Your rule. And may You reign over them soon and forever and always. Because all rule is Yours alone, and You will rule in honor forever and ever. As it is written in Your Torah: "HaShem will reign forever and ever." And it is said: "HaShem will be Ruler over the whole Earth, and on that day, G-d will be One, and G-d's name will be One."

Amen, may that day come soon.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!!!!!!! Can we say paranoia and fear?! What God do you serve that could not withstand the opinions of those who don't agree with you. As you'll be banning me now, enjoy your childish ways and have fun never expanding your understanding but only speaking with those who agree with your ideology. By the way, God and His Word need no defense but stand on their own. Study the Torah without all the extra opinions and it will teach you on its own. Bye bye!!!

Psalm 1

1 Happy is the man that hath not walked in the counsel of the wicked, {N}
nor stood in the way of sinners, nor sat in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in His law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by streams of water, {N}
that bringeth forth its fruit in its season, and whose leaf doth not wither; and in whatsoever he doeth he shall prosper.
4 Not so the wicked; but they are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the LORD regardeth the way of the righteous; but the way of the wicked shall perish. {P}

My theology? Do you mean Judaism? You have done nothing but slander the Torah and Judaism. I didn't ban you but if you cannot respect out faith and abide by my anti-missionizing rules, maybe your self-imposed exile isn't bad.

Papa Frank said...

I have not slandered the Torah. I recognize the Torah as the Word of the Living God and seek to follow what God teaches me with its words. I also did not speak of your theology but rather your ideology. I do not missionize but only give my opinion and debate. I have never asked you or any other Jew to be anything but who they are. I have never asked you to change your mind or accept anything but the Torah. I have never said that the one who you wish not to be named is your only way to heaven. I do not believe that Jews go to hell and Christians go to heaven as you think all of christianity believes. I do not think that God disposes of everlasting covenants. If you wish to teach Jews who you view as weaker than yourself and you don't want them to hear other views then you will have doomed them to being poorly equipped to stand when faced with other views. If you believe that I do not love God and seek to follow Him then feel free to silence my opinions. Otherwise, why run a blog and ban debate? Believe me -- I love Judaism and am quite envious of many aspects of it. I greatly admire the passion and the celebration. I love the heart that desires to see the temple rebuilt and peace in Jerusalem. I also love the New Testament and make no apologies for that love or for its teaching. I have never read a word of the New Testament that was not in support of the Jews. Those who find hate for Jews in the New Testament are people filled with hate that are looking for an excuse to use it. The Jews are my ancestors and the forefathers of all belief in God. I am happy to stay or happy to leave. It is your place and I will not stay if not welcome.

Wow, Bar. I'm new to your blog, but it looks like I have to shut up and sit still if I'm to stay. I don't want to convert anybody, and I'm not a missionary, I just wanted to learn more about Judaism. However, I won't deny my faith in Christ. I also get a little tired of the condcention. You obviously have a lot of anger, which I don't want to contribute to, but I don't want to be the recipient of, either.

Blessings and peace to you.

Oh, and what the HELL is lox?
I eat toast and jelly.

You can speak your peace about ANY subject except Christianity. Honestly, I don't care about the Christian Bible, JC or any of that. I don't necessarily want you to leave but just abide by my new rules.

And any Jew is always welcome here, secular or religious.

Why even engage the C's or the like.
Im sure its Bitul Torah. Ignore them

Well, gosh. You know I've liked your site and enjoyed your posts, Bar Kochba. But I just enjoyed reading about Judiasm. I don't want to become Jewish. I don't know what made you so angry but the new rules are too strict for me. So, without rancour, and with best wishes, I'll say good bye.

Bar? I'm confused as I've visited from time to time, but have not tried to convert anyone. In fact, I've been rather low-key on it. I would not ban anyone who wants to say they are Jewish from my blog, to be sure. I'm a Christian, but totally supportive of a JEWISH Israel. (Is there any other kind? smile)

The "no missionizing" on your blog is fine by me. I think your faith in the Lord G-d SHOULD be respected. Regardless of my faith, I can engage in conversation and learn more about Judaism.

Please know you are welcomed to visit my blog at any time.

BK, this is certainly your blog, adn I suspect that BJD's comment on your last post set this in motion, but I think it is counter-productive to our Divine mission as Jews to be exclusive. We have shul for that. This should be an open forum, and if you don't like BDJ, then ban him, but don't push away all these people that come and learn. You have a special kind of beit midrash here. Don't let one idiot ruin it for everyone. Just my humble opinion. Have a SHabbat Shalom.

Avi said...

Daniel, I don't want to be exclusive at all. You are right that BDJ's last comment set this in motion. I am sick and tired of hearing the worst sorts of slander against Judaism by its "completed" cousin, Christianity. It is often said, directly or implied, that Judaism is the work of man, that the rabbis are deceivers and a brood of vipers, that Satan has blinded our eyes or that our faith is incomplete. Let Christians come comment, but I do not want to be missionized to. It is arrogrance of the worst kind for goyyim who cannot even speak Hebrew to attempt to teach Torah to us. There is no parallel in Christianity to Jewish Torah scholarship.

Isaiah that that G-d's house would be a house of prayer for ALL nations. That means Jews and non-Jews. I am not banning anyone now. I just do not want to hear about avodah zara. In the same way that a Christian would not entertain Buddhist or Muslim proselitzying on their blog, I will not allow Christians to do so on mine. I don't know what it is about Christians that makes them think that we Jews feel any differently towards their faith than to, say Islam, or Zoroastrianism.

May all nations accept HaShem soon.

Papa Frank said...

The answer to that would be the fact that we both serve the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

I love it. The Jewish terms, the love of Israel and spelling of "G-d."

These are spiritual predators and we need to have a complete break from they. They are either sick, twisted Christians who are angering Hashem with their deceitful ways or they are lost Jews who have been brainwashed to accept foreign gods.

Why exactly do you all want to learn about Judaism? To get closer to Hashem? Please.

Well, here's an inside tip... He doesn't like it when you worship anything or anyone else. Crazy, no? Funny thing, my wife wouldn't want me hanging out in brothels even if I wanted to just go to learn how to be a better lover.

Simple math folks...

G-d + X = Idol Worship

It's the basis of monotheism and Judaism. Take it elsewhere and leave us monotheists and kosher Jews alone. By staying, you just reinforce what we already know. You are brainwashed predators.

Good Shabbos, Bar. Keep up the fight.

Papa Frank said...

One of the chief characteristics of Christianity is love and so in regards to Judaism and Christianity it is far less important to us that we be accepted or thought of well or that our faith be accepted than that we show support and love for Jews because they are God's chosen people. Once again, I have never missionized here but have shown my support for Israel and questioned what I do not understand about Torah and what does not seem consistent with what I get from reading the Old Testament. To say that someone could not know something more than you about the Torah because they don't speak hebrew is extremely inconsistent with the idea that all truth comes from God who gives freely as He wishes to whom He wishes. God is God and needs nobody else and doesn't need permission to give good gifts freely and as He chooses. Is this not so?

Rita Loca said...

In would quote the verse about turning the cheek and all that, but that would break your rules.:)
Do you want me to remove you from my blog roll?

Papa Frank said...

That is a wonderful and true formula that is in complete agreement with Christianity.

God + X = idol worship

Your problem is that you think that Christians follow something or somebody besides God when in fact we do not. This concept perplexes you as much as it perplexes me that you follow God + Rambam (or any other authority) and don't call that idol worship.

Tsofah said...

BK, Have I offended you that you do not reply or comment to any of the postings when I ask questions? Please let me know. I do not wish to offend and would wish to reconcile the problem if so.

Judah HaKohain said...

What an asinine comparison, but I expect no less.

Jews don't worship the Rambam. He is a Rabbi. YOU consider Jesus god or the son of G-d. That is idol worship. And speaking of the Rambam:

1. I believe with perfect faith that G-d is the Creator and Ruler of all things. He alone has made, does make, and will make all things.

2. I believe with perfect faith that G-d is One. There is no unity that is in any way like His. He alone is our G-d He was, He is, and He will be.

3. I believe with perfect faith that G-d does not have a body. physical concepts do not apply to Him. There is nothing whatsoever that resembles Him at all.

4. I believe with perfect faith that G-d is first and last.

5. I believe with perfect faith that it is only proper to pray to G-d. One may not pray to anyone or anything else.

6. I believe with perfect faith that all the words of the prophets are true.

7. I believe with perfect faith that the prophecy of Moses is absolutely true. He was the chief of all prophets, both before and after Him.

8. I believe with perfect faith that the entire Torah that we now have is that which was given to Moses.

9. I believe with perfect faith that this Torah will not be changed, and that there will never be another given by G-d.

10. I believe with perfect faith that G-d knows all of man's deeds and thoughts. It is thus written (Psalm 33:15), "He has molded every heart together, He understands what each one does."

11. I believe with perfect faith tha G-d rewards those who keep His commandments, and punishes those who transgress Him.

12. I believe with perfect faith in the coming of the Messiah. How long it takes, I will await His coming every day.

13. I believe with perfect faith that the dead will be brought back to life when G-d wills it to happen.

I'm sure you will say that you beleive all these things as well. In the psychology world we call that cognitive dissonance.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cognitive_dissonance

It is this cult-like attitude which is the exact reason Bar Kochba does not want to engage you. It would be as useful as engaging Tom Cruise about Xenu.

For those Christians who are not blind and deaf, I recommend the following site: http://jdstone.org/cr/index.html

Once you give up your idol worshiping ways and accept G-d as the sole Ruler of the world, then I am sure you will be welcome back into the fold.

WHO IS THE SON OF GOD?

Homer Ellison

This "Suffering Servant" Holds the Key to Your Salvation

You were created so that you could recognize your Creator, love Him, and serve Him here on earth. But do you know Who God really is? The answer to this question surprises many people.

It is an easy mistake to think that one is worshipping the one, true God, while actually serving a false one. To help prevent this mistake, God described Himself in the Bible, warning us to remember how He appeared when He gave the Ten Commandments:

The Lord spoke to you out of the midst of the fire; you heard the sound of the words, but saw no image, just a voice.

And you shall watch yourselves very well, for you did not see not any image on the day that the Lord spoke to you at Horeb from the midst of the fire. 16. Lest you become corrupt and make for yourselves a graven image, the representation of any form, the likeness of male or female. (Deuteronomy 4:12, 15-16 - Judaica Press Complete Tanach)

In other words, God has no physical shape. He is infinite and unlimited, and never appears in the form of any human.

Nor does God have any "partners." He alone is the only One Who brings us eternal salvation, as He says in the Bible:

… Is it not I, the Lord, and there are no other gods besides Me, a just and saving God there is not besides Me. 22. Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth, for I am God, and there is no other. (Isaiah 45:21-22)

Anyone who makes the mistake of worshipping a man for spiritual salvation will be betrayed.

Do not trust in princes, in the son of men, who has no salvation. (Psalms 146:3)

Eternal life comes directly from God, Who is One and infinite, and not through any mediator.

God's Firstborn Son

So how has God brought His message of truth to the world? According to the Bible, God declares that He does have a special son whose mission is to bring His blessings and His salvation to the entire world.

Who is this son? Many religious leaders have offered their opinions on the identity of His son, but really we should find out God's "opinion" on this matter.

In the book of Exodus, God openly proclaims His son to the world: … 'So said the Lord, "My firstborn son is Israel." ' (Exodus 4:22). "Israel" is the Jewish people – all of them. The Jews were chosen by God to be His special "son," to be, in the words of the Bible, “…And you shall be to Me a kingdom of princes and a holy nation….” (Exodus 19:6).

All people are God's children, of course, but the Jews are like a "firstborn son" who brings God's Word to his younger brothers. Every person who learns from the Jews, and helps them fulfill their special role, becomes a part of God's kingdom.

Unfortunately, many times people have not listened to the Jews. For many centuries, the Christian church killed hundreds of thousands of innocent Jews -- men, women, and children -- to prevent their holy message from reaching the rest of the world. Today, church leaders still try to silence the Jewish message by sending missionaries to convert Jews to Christianity!

The Bible tells us that the Jews would suffer greatly, not just for their own sins, but also for the sake of bringing God's Word to a rebellious world:

"Console, console My people," says your God. Speak to the heart of Jerusalem and call to her, for she has become full [from] her host, for her iniquity has been appeased, for she has taken from the hand of the Lord double for all her sins.” (Isaiah 40:1-2).

Salvation Through the Law

The Jewish people have been taught the secret to eternal life and blessings for all people, and now they finally have the freedom to reveal God's message.

According to that message, the key that unlocks the door to a personal relationship with God is His Law -- one part for the Jews, the other part for the rest of the world.

At Mount Sinai, God gave the Ten Commandments (and hundreds of others) to the Jewish people. These laws apply only to the Jews in their special role as the world's spiritual leaders.

But for everyone else, God gave the Seven Commandments (and dozens of other laws). These commandments were given to Noah, after he left the ark that saved his family from the great flood, as an eternal covenant with all the peoples of the earth.1 Since Mount Sinai, the Jews have carried the message of these seven laws to all the peoples.

A non-Jew who follows these commandments is a Righteous Gentile, and receives both eternal life and God's blessings in his earthly life. By doing good works exactly as God commands, he earns a close relationship with his Creator.

A Righteous Gentile celebrates certain "Hebrew Bible (Old Testament)" holidays, not Christian holidays. He prays to God in the proper way, according to God's instructions. He also helps the poor and he guides his fellow humans – including non-religious Jews – back to God's Law. A Righteous Gentile learns how to redeem every part of his life from the emptiness of modern existence, becoming a "soldier" in God's spiritual army.

The Messiah's Message to the World

By asking the Jews for spiritual guidance and turning back to "Hebrew Bible" Law, a Righteous Gentile – also known as a Child of Noah – also accomplishes the most important task of all: He helps bring the Messiah to redeem the entire world.

The Messiah is a Jewish king who will gather all the Jewish people to Israel, destroy all evil, rebuild the Holy Temple in Jerusalem, and bring true freedom to the world by returning everyone to the Law. He will institute God's eternal kingdom here on earth.

The Messiah will teach the Word of God to all nations, causing Christianity and all other religions to disappear. The Bible says that everyone will become a Righteous Gentile, thirsting for the ancient Truth:

“O Lord, Who are my power and my strength and my refuge in the day of trouble, to You nations will come from the ends of the earth and say, "Only lies have our fathers handed down to us, emptiness in which there is nothing of any avail! 20. Can a man make gods for himself, and they are no gods?" Therefore, behold I let them know; at this time I will let them know My power and My might, and they shall know that My Name is the Lord.” (Jeremiah 16:19-21)

An Urgent Call to Action

In the book of Genesis, God told Abraham that his descendants, the Jewish people, would bless the world with the light of God's Word. Only by turning to the Jews can anyone join God's holy kingdom:

And I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse, and all the families of the earth shall be blessed in you." (Genesis 12:3).

God promised Abraham that this covenant of priesthood would apply to all the Jews, forever:

And I will establish My covenant between Me and between you and between your seed after you throughout their generations as an everlasting covenant, to be to you for a God and to your seed after you. (Genesis 17:7).

And I establish my covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you, throughout their generations, for an eternal covenant

Regardless of your race, religious background, or nationality, Righteous Gentiles can help the Jewish people bring the Messiah.

JESUS AND KRISHNA

John P. Lundy, Nineteenth--Century Reverend:

“If we may believe so good an authority as Edward Moor (author of Moor's "Hindu Pantheon" and "Oriental Fragments"), both the name of Crishna, and the general outline of his history, were long anterior to the birth of our Savior, as very certain things, and probably extended to the time of Homer, nearly nine hundred years before Christ, or more than one hundred years before Isaiah lived and prophesied.” 16

J. B. S. Carwithen, Nineteenth--Century Reverend:

“Both the name of Crishna [sic] and the general outline of his story are long anterior to the birth of our Savior; and this we know, not on the presumed antiquity of the Hindoo records alone. Both Arrian and Strabo assert that the god Crishna was anciently worshipped at Mathura, on the river Jumna, where he is worshipped at this day. But the emblems and attributes essential to this deity are also transplanted into the mythology of the west.”17

T. W. Doane, Nineteenth Century:

“In the Sanskrit Dictionary, compiled more than two thousand years ago, we have the whole story of Crishna, the incarnate deity, born of a virgin, and miraculously escaping in his infancy from Kansa, the reigning monarch of the country.” 18

Monier Williams, Nineteenth--Century Professor:

“...the religious creeds, rites, customs, and habits of thought of the Hindus generally have altered little since the days of Manu [in] 500 B.C.”19

George W. Cox, Nineteenth--Century Reverend:

“...Practically, the myths of Crishna seems to have been fully developed in the days of Megasthenes [fourth century B.C.], who identifies him with the Greek Hercules. 20

1) Both were preceded by a ‘forerunner’ born a short time before them.21
2) Each was born in a city away from home where his father was on tax business.22
3) Krishna was born in a cave.23

Jesus was born in a stable (Luke 2:7). However, Quintus Tertullian (third century), St. Jerome (fourth century), and other Church fathers claimed that Jesus, too, was born in a cave.”24

Frederick W. Farrar, Nineteenth--Century Reverend:

“That the actual place of Christ's birth was a cave is a very ancient tradition, and this cave used to be shown as the scene of the event even so early as the time of Justin Martyr (A.D. 150).” 25

4) “In infancy, both Krishna and Jesus were sentenced to death by kings who viewed them as pretenders to the throne. Due to this threat: Krishna's father was warned by a heavenly voice "to fly with the child to Gacool, across the river Jumna.26

”Jesus' father was warned in a dream, ‘...rise and take the child and his mother, and flee to Egypt...’” (Matthew 2:13).

5) One of these kings then ordered "the massacre in all his states of all the children of the male sex during the night of the birth of Crishna."27

The other, Herod, ‘.sent and killed all the male children in Bethlehem, and in all that region, who were two years old or under...’ (Matthew 2:16).”

6) “One of both Krishna and Jesus' first ’miracles’ performed as adults was the curing of a leper.” 28

7) “Urged by Krishna to make a request, a man replied: ‘Above all things, I desire to have my two dead sons restored to life.’ Immediately they were brought to life and came to their father."29

"While [Jesus] was thus speaking to them, behold, a ruler came in and knelt before him, saying: `My daughter has just died; but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live....' But when the crowd had been put aside, he went in and took her by the hand, and the girl arose" (Matthew 9:18, 25).

8) Either a poor cripple or a lame woman came with "a vessel filled with spices, sweet scented oils, sandalwood, saffron, civet, and other perfumes, and made a certain sign on [Krishna's] forehead, casting the rest upon his head."30

"Now when Jesus was at Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, a woman came up to him with an alabaster box of very expensive ointment, and she poured it on his head, as he sat at the table" (Matthew 26:6--7).

9) Both washed the feet of their disciples.31
10) Both had a beloved disciple.32
11) Krishna said: "Let him, if seeking God by deep abstraction, abandon his possessions and his hopes, betake himself to some secluded spot, and fix his heart and thoughts on God alone."33

Jesus said: "But when you pray, go into your room and close the door and pray to your Father Who is in secret; and your Father Who sees in secret will reward you" (Matthew 6:6).

12) Krishna said: "I am the light in the sun and the moon, far, far beyond the darkness. I am the brilliancy in flame, the radiance in all that's radiant, and the light of lights."34

Jesus said: "I am the light of the world, he who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life" (John 8:12).

13) Krishna said: "I am the sustainer of the world, its friend and Lord. I am its way and refuge."35

Jesus said: "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me" (John 14:6).

14) Krishna said: "I am the Goodness of the good; I am Beginning, Middle, End, Eternal Time, the Birth, the Death of all."36

Jesus said: "Fear not, I am the first, and the last, and the living one; I died, and behold I am alive for evermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades" (Revelations 1:17--18).

15) Both "descended" to hell.37
16) Both "ascended" to heaven before witnesses.38
17) Both are said to have been God incarnate:

"Crishna is the very Supreme Brahma, though it be a mystery how the Supreme should assume the form of a man."39

"Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of our religion; He manifested in the flesh." (I Timothy 3:16).

18) Before death, Krishna was pierced with an arrow 40 and Jesus with a spear (John 19:34).

19) Both were crucified:

John P. Lundy, Nineteenth--Century Reverend: I object to the crucifix because it is an image, and liable to gross abuse, just as the old Hindoo crucifix was an idol.41

Dr. Thomas Inman, Nineteenth--Century: Crishna [sic], whose history so closely resembles our Lord's, was also like him in his being crucified.42

20) When Krishna died, it is said that a black circle surrounded the moon, the sun was darkened at noon, the sky rained fire and ashes, and spirits were seen everywhere.43

When Jesus died, the sun was darkened from the sixth to the ninth hour, graves were opened, and saints rose and entered the city (Matthew 27:45, 51--52).

21) Both were "resurrected."44

22) "Krishna will return in the end days as an armed warrior, riding on a winged white horse. He will destroy the wicked then living. The sun and the moon will be darkened, the earth will tremble, and the stars will fall."45

"Immediately after the tribulation of those days [following Jesus' "return"] the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken" (Matthew 24:29).

CHRISTIANITY’S JESUS/GOD IS NOT

OUR CREATOR, THE GOD OF TORAH!

Hugh Fogelman and John Stone

Ex-pastor Craig Lyons writes: “What the vast majority of Christians fail to realize is that the Hebrew Bible has nothing to say about Jesus, not one thing.” 1[Emphasis added]

Carefully note that he said the “Hebrew Bible;” not the Greek mistranslation of it with its hundreds of alterations and purposeful misquotations and mistranslations purposefully done in an attempt to write within it Christian concepts concerning a pagan dead man-god known as Jesus. That would be known as the Christian Bible.

It is these religious concepts, which were added the Greek translations of the Hebrew Bible, that in a little over 200 years from their initial forgery would be applied to Jesus by the pagan-gentile church of the fourth century which were made up by Roman and Greek laymen. It would be these Greek Church Fathers who gave the strength to the reinterpretation of the Jewish Messiah, and students today find their legacy only compounded upon by Rome.

Christianity's use of the Hebrew Bible is both their strength and their flaw. It is their strength because the Hebrew Bible is the word of God. It is their flaw because gentile pagan Christianity deliberately misinterpreted and misappropriated the Hebrew Scriptures to support their plagiarized pagan claims.

However, when Christianity claims fulfillment of, and yet destroys the Hebrew Bible's message and prophecies, then all who seek the truth have a duty to identify these terrible errors; which are being deliberately passed off to the unsuspecting gentile world as the “infallible, inerrant, and inspired” Word of God.

Ex-pastor Lyons wrote:

“Such a Christian's Bible with such falsehoods and Scriptural adulterations is anything but the Word of God. Secondarily, the Jesus depicted within such a document is anything but “real.”

It is a shame that Christians blindly accept the New Testament's (NT) depiction of Jesus, along with all the forged and falsified texts that surround him, and never desire to investigate or question this “invented” Jesus.

Step back and realize that there are only two bibles; the Source Document, the Hebrew Bible – and copies upon copies, upon copies of the Christian bible. Scholars know what can happen to “copies.” Father Eusebius, after the Council of Nicaea in 325 CE, admitted to changing copies to reflect his own concept of the Christian god Jesus. Before the New Testament was canonized other Christian leaders followed Eusebius’ lead and modified their writings. However, the Hebrew Bible stands in stark contrast to the Christian bibles and copies; for today it is exactly as received over 3,315 years ago.

Without first reading the Source Document, the Hebrew Bible, before reading the New Testament; it is impossible to identify and tell the forgery from the truth. When reading the pages of the NT, Christians accept without question that all contained therein must be true because their clergy and their bible-intoxicated friends have forever been telling them it is the “Word of God unto salvation, yada, yada, yada.” As my wife said, they will never know they are wrong because they were taught never to doubt the NT or ask questions about its reliability and integrity, even though Jews have told the world for over 2,000 years that the Christian Messiah is NOT the Messiah promised in the Hebrew Bible; but no one takes heed!

The truth of the matter is that Christians have been deliberately set up. Their conscience and guilt has been carefully manipulated―against their better judgement―by askilfully induced fear of “the devil” and eternal “hellfire.” The result is a belief in Jesus, a dead man-god that never existed. Christians do not realize that clinging to a faith in a dead man-god makes them an idolater and blasphemer before God!

As G-d created our minds, He expects us to use our reasoning together with our faith. Faith is not a substitute for reason, but a development from it and alongside it. God does not expect us to be led blindly by others who are trying to sell their new/invented pagan religion, aka Christianity. In extremely strong and direct language, God warned all of us about this very thing over 3,315 years ago when the Children of Israel were gathered at Mount Sinai. Carefully study Deuteronomy 13:1-5 (KJV) below:

“If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,
2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;
3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth [is testing] you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
4 Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.
5 And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.

As you see here, a new religion–a new god [Jesus] is considered an “evil” in your midst. Could God have been any clearer on this? Why didn’t you know this? Why haven’t your clergy and Sunday school teachers taught this? Oh, I see, it is in the Old Testament and that was replaced by this “new” testament. Convenient don’t you think? And what about tithing? That is ONLY in the Old Testament, but your church and clergy brings that forward and makes it a commandment on you. Funny isn’t it – how Christianity picks this and throws out that. All the while it is your soul they are playing with. BUT do you now care enough to study on your own and come to know your Creator instead of a dead man-god?

Let us continue and see what more God has to say on new religions/gods. What if it is your family and friends approaching you with the “good news” of the gospel??? Deuteronomy 13:6-11:

6 If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers;
7 Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth;
8 Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him:
9 But thou shalt surely kill him;2 thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.
10 And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
11 And all Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall do no more any such wickedness as this is among you.

Is this not crystal clear? What part do you not understand? Oh yeah, this is the Old Testament and we do not follow that anymore. Says who―God? NO! God said his Torah was eternal! Now what part of eternal do you not understand? Oh, but your preachers and friends said this and that. Does that make it right? Does that cancel God’s own eternal words that have stood exactly as originally given over 3,315 years ago? You know the answer! NO!

So, what are you going to do about it? Are you going to keep going to church and praying to a dead man-god? Are you going to do what God warned you not to do? Or, are you going to embark on an honest mission ― to know your Creator and stand in awe of him, to serve only Him and as he asks?

The Christian bible says Jesus was a Jew and even that he never advocated the establishment of any new religion. Christianity is a religion about Jesus, not Jesus’ religion. Christianity is an invention primarily of the character called Paul. It should be more properly called Pauline Christology.

Unknown to Christians is that the non-Jew, the gentile, has his place within Biblical Judaism as he adheres to the “Covenant and Laws of Noah” which Judaism has taught for over three thousand years. These laws are knows as the Seven Universal Laws for Mankind.

Embark on a search for truth and these laws will be brought before you.

WOW!!! You know how to cut and paste other's ideas and work. Once again following and accepting others words instead of studying the Word of God for yourself in order to taste and see that the Lord is good and that His truth abides forever.

Why clutter BK's blog with these articles? Why don't you offer your own creative answers and save the cut -n- paste trick for your own blog?

Judah, as a side point the reason the Notsrim have always so despised the Tzadikim and the Torah SheBaal Peh is they are the antitode to the poison the Notsrim pedal.

The Notsrim have always beleived(foolishly) that if they could burn the Talmud and murder the Chachamim we would waltz into their Houses of Avodah Zara and fall over ourselves to worship their Kopher. Of course we would reject Christianity even when shorn of Judaism as we see the Notsrim have had almost no success with their soul hunting even among Jews who have had no Torah in generations like our brothers from the FSU, but the Notsrim believe it nonetheless.

KL -- you are really quite delusional.

"The frank family" is an excellent example of a typical xian family---obnoxious and arrogant. I know quite a few converts who knew your "ideology" inside out and once exposed to the truth and beauty of Judaism threw it away like so much putrid garbage.

Migosh, BK, but your blog seems to have had an actual infestation. Good thing you found something to smoke them out.

I love how the xians who are called "homophobic" because they choose not to tolerate homosexuality turn right around and use the same failed ploy with us. If we choose not to tolerate missionizing, we are "afraid" of honest discourse.

To those of you who claim to believe what is written in the Torah, look it up. It says that when someone comes to us and invites us to worship another god, then we are to kill them, even if it happens to be a relative.

Nowhere does it say we should engage in debate on the subject. This is just another missionary ploy and a value of western peoples.

The only reason people like you are hanging out to "learn Torah" is to get ammunition to use against Jews, not to enlighten yourselves.

Jews, stop being so gullible and naive. Learn who your enemies are and fight them!

Good job, BK and Judah Hakohain, great comments!

This thread is a perfect example of the problems with conservatism. Conservatives can't get along with anyone who is even slightly different than themselves.

devash -- what a party your family reunions must be!!! Also, please point out here where I asked anyone to follow a different god. You're going to have a lot of trouble finding it because it never happened. There I go being obnoxious and arrogant again. I guess that's the price of defending yourself against charges that cannot be proven by those who only accuse! :)

LOL. Funny that the Christians would comment on "cut and paste." Their entire religion is cut and paste. Unfortunately it's 20% Judaism and 80% paganism.

I never claimed the work was my own. That's why I cited sources.

I have to agree with Devash. The Frank Family is obnoxious and arrogant, but what do you expect of people who disregard history and G-d's law? 300 years ago they'd be burning us at the stake or cramming their "hosts" down our throats under penalty of death. This is the new Christian tactic.

Don't worry. There will be a reckoning all accounts will be settled.

This just proves that every xtian is a potential missionary. It is built into their religion, "the great commission". If they choose to start following the laws of Noach, then number 1 says they have to give up their belief in the j-man. Until then we should have no contact with them as they are idolators. Separation is the key to redemption.

young activist: Common, how can you generalize like that? You know how some people call liberals fascists and whatnot? That's how I feel when you band all conservatives together. It's all about people and what's in their souls- not their political opinion.

Progressive Pinhead said...

Eitan:
What is in their souls often shines through their political opinion, I am not talking about opinions on things like government spending and all of that, but things like humanity etc.

Here in America the souls of those who supported the civil rights movement shone through in their politics, the soul of those who opposed apartheid in South Africa shone through in their politics, and the soul of those who are protesting against what is going on in Darfur and Tibet shines through in their politics.

In its most basic sense people's politics represents how they wish to treat other people. often those who are unlike them, and how you treat other people reflects the content of your sole very well.

I have many conservative friends, I seek out their viewpoints, I have a pretty good understanding of how they think, but the essence of my personal belief is compassion for all people no matter who they are. That is why you must understand that my comments are directed at the ideology and not the people who hold that ideology. Sure, I might get a little hotheaded at time, which is fairly easy to do here, but I don't have anything against people who hold differing views. I have only the best hopes for everyone here, even when we disagree politically.

However, I will stick by my point about conservatives not being able to get along with each other very well. This thread is the only evidence I need for that. The Christians here need to learn to respect and value other people’s traditions and not try to convert them. As a non-Christian living in the southern United States I understand the frustration of you and BK and everyone else here at the “missionizing” that goes on, but on the other side of the coin the Jewish conservatives need to realize that those who try to convert you, as annoying as it may be, are only doing so because they are sincerely concerned for your well being. Calling the Bible a work of fiction and Jesus a heretic is deeply offensive and just as disrespectful as missionizing, if not more so. In fact even as a non-Christian I felt offended at some of the comments about Jesus. There is at least a grain of wisdom in every faith’s philosophy and for Christianity that grain is Jesus. Even if you don’t believe in him as a religious figure it is difficult to deny that he was a very wise man. The question that the people here who have been fighting among each other need to answer is this: You have much in common, your religions have much in common, why can’t you respect each other’s differences and work together towards your common goals whatever they might be?

Wow! Well said and I applaude your position! It's strange (isn't it?) that two people with diametrically opposed political views can find common ground but then again, I've found common ground with Palestinians and don't see anything neccessarily wrong with that.

Ya know, former Irgun fighter and commander, Menachem Begin signed a peace treaty with Anwar Saddat. It's rumored that while in J'lem, Saddat told Begin the latter would see him at his funeral. I'm going off subject but you get the point.

Avi said...

YA: You seemed pretty level-headed and rational. What happened?

I want a relationship with Christians based on mutual respect. That means that they do not convert me and I will not convert them. I will happily stand with them in against Islamofascism but a precondition must be respect for the Jewish people and faith. Because of missionizing in the US, combined with intermarriage and assimilation, there is a spiritual genocide going on. Most Christians have been nothing but tolerant and respectful. With them I have no quarrel. But to the others, I want nothing to do with them. We must separate ourselves from idolatry.

Thank you for your kind reply on this matter.

I do not know why the debate is continuing on your blog. As a
Christian, the most truly "Christian" thing I can do is to repect that you have asked for no debate. It appears as if Jews and Christians, instead, are attacking one anothers' beliefs, etc. That saddens me.

May G-d move our hearts to repect one and not attack our respective religions. May He move us to bless one another without condition.

Ben-Yehudah, it is necessary to reinforce the idea here that in the Diaspora, a Jew MUST maintain a distance, both physically and emotionally, from the gentiles, if he is to survive the assimilation trend. The "exchange of ideas" and "open debate" and the idea that Jews and xians can be "friends" is an invitation to disaster.

Devash, There isn't really any conflict between your comment and mine, except I should clarify one thing.

"Stand your ground" refers to defending BK against the Xians, not to any criticism from Jews who thinks he's being too lenient.
